Lifelines with Michael Holroyd CBE

Conversations with eminent people about their life and work

Michael Holroyd CBE will be visiting us on 28th April. Acclaimed biographer of Lytton Strachey, Augustus John, and many others, he is a former Chairman of The Society of Authors, and The National Book League, and a past President of English PEN. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, he holds many honorary degrees, and was awarded the CBE in 1989 for services to literature.

Tickets are £12, Friends of BH £10.

Burgh House is a beautiful Queen Anne house in the heart of Hampstead in London. A registered charity it is open free of charge to the public as a community arts centre with a changing program of art exhibitions and classical concerts. Become a fan and hear about our exciting program of events!

Burgh House is also home to the Hampstead Museum, with over 3,000 objects relating to art and life in Hampstead. A permanent display is located on the first floor, tracing Hampstead history from prehistoric times to the modern day.

The licensed Buttery cafe serves delicious lunches, mother watering teas and weekend brunch. Book early to sample their famous Sunday roast!
